Practicing Yoga with the Seasonal/Lunar Cycles

Perhaps you've been practicing yoga for a while now and understand some alignment, are in touch with your own movement patterns, are aware of some yogic philosophy, and maybe energy/subtle body shifts? Now add in your own magic by learning to gauge where we are at seasonally in the place we call home, and how it could one be energizing to your yoga practice to discover how the sun-moon placement from day to day/month to month might bring further inward connection.

The yoga practice truly never ends in our lifetimes, as it's a constant individual practice of inward and outward shifting. The constant shift is happening all around us all the time when we tune into the natural rhythms of the Earth. We often practice and connect through yoga in group settings for further development through the physical practice, but it can be nice to stay in touch with the always-changing body and energetic rhythms that weekly classes may or may not touch on. Practicing in this way reminds us that we are never alone in all the feelings and shifting.


After quietly and then more intentionally practicing for a decade with these intentions of listening to the seasonal and lunar cycling, Jenn has gained some beautiful insights into how this can be an effective way to practice for deeper personal growth. Join Jenn for physical asana in a 75-minute practice, discussion and writing prompts post-practice to investigate these ideas, a full moon ritual to prepare for the coming October Full Moon, and lots of loving energy.
