Bow Street Yoga

open body, quiet mind

Things To Know

First time here? Just show up 10 minutes prior to class to fill out our new student form.  Did we mention we have a deal for your first visit?  TWO WEEKS for just $25.

Yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach. Try and refrain from eating anything two hours before class, and allow four hours after a heavy meal.

Yoga is practiced barefoot!  Just leave your shoes in the lobby and let those toes shine!

As a courtesy to other yogis and teachers please try and arrive early enough to get settled before class begins, and please remember to turn off your cell phones.

Talk to us. Our teachers are here for you- please be sure to let us know if you have any questions, injuries, old surgeries, pregnancies (you get the picture) or if you are new to yoga.

Don't worry about where you are in your yoga practice- if you are brand new or just working with an injury- be open to modifications and use props and blocks- not to "cheat" or make things "easy" but to provide space for your body to open and maybe go deeper.

When it's cold outside, our studio is warmed to a safe 75-90 degrees. This means you will probably sweat, even in the Beginners classes, so bring a towel. And no worries if you are a super sweater, that’s just your body detoxifying!  When it's hot outside, we turn on the AC to keep the temperature safe.

Bring a mat and a water bottle. Mat rentals are also available for $1.

Listen to your body; you are your best teacher!

Have fun!
