March News

Dear BSY Community,

Hope the beginning of March is finding you well! I will be heading out on a 7-day meditation retreat this Friday  and will be back teaching on Saturday, March 11th at 10am. I am so grateful to the staff and teachers for holding down the fort while I am away.

Before I take off I wanted to let everyone know about the amazing event lineup we have for March! Ryan Hill will be doing his upper-back and neck workshop this Saturday, and next week Cat Kabirawill be back in Boston for three wonderful events!

We will also see the continuation of our ThursdayNight community events. I will be leading the first March talk this Thursday:

Working with Difficult Emotions
with Ryan Cunningham
Thursday March 2nd
7:30 - 9pm

pay what you can | $10 suggested donation

We will look at and discuss some of the traditional approaches to understanding emotions, and look at how those may or may not be helpful in working with our own emotional rollercoasters.

Thank you so much to everyone who has participated in the community events thus far. For the month of March, we will be partnering with the North American Indian Center of Boston, a non-profit organization serving as the hub of social and civil rights activities for the American Indian community in Boston since 1969.

Thursday Nights at BSY

open space

study. practice. create.

The first time I practiced at Bow Street, I thought "wow, this feels like I am practicing in someone's living room." Over the past few months, I've been consideringnew ways to expand our offerings at BSY, and it occurred to me: why not open up our living room so that more of the community can enjoy it? Moreover, why not allow students to use the space to integrate work, practice and study?

Each weekday, we will open the studio to the community as a mindful and quiet space to practice, study, work, create or simply just rest. Students are welcome to utilize our full assortment of yoga props as well as wifi and seated desks. There will also be a small assortment of tea and mugs available for refreshment!

Open Space will be available from 1:30-5:30pm Mon-Fri for a flat rate of $10 per day (come and go as you please). We are also happy to offer this program to our monthly members free of charge!
