We have to guess there aren’t many people out there who haven’t had some snags in the neck! In the world of the smartphone, our tedious superficial muscles take quite a beating. Ryan will provide a 3 hour class catered to neck issues through some alternate techniques:
Restorative Poses: long holds
The nervous and respiratory systems have a close relationship to the throat, we’ll spend time teaching the body to settle it’s passages through focused breathing.
Yin Poses: intricate focus
Shoulder muscles are prone to overuse and compensation for the muscles closer to the spine. We will try to access the neck’s true scaffolding by softening the shielding of the back.
Strength: putting it together
We’ll apply what we’ve observed to basic weight-bearing on the arms, bringing awareness to the way we carry our neck- the scaffolding that holds our head up!
